Our course on Digital Communication covers the fundamentals of transmission of digital data using baseband and bandpass modulation techniques, line coding processes, channel behaviour, receiver requirements, etc. Students are trained in the concepts of Pulse Code Modulation, Delta Modulation, Adaptive Delta Modulation, Differential Pulse Code Modulation, Line coding, Amplitude Shift Keying, Frequency Shift Keying, Phase Shift Keying, Differential Phase Shift Keying and Quaternary Phase Shift Keying systems are executed on the latest trainer sets. The lab is also equipped with the latest MATLAB 2016 licenses to teach the mathematical simulation of these schemes as well. We further explore the mathematical ideology behind the Matched Filters, Detection systems and theory of random variables.
